About PPS

The Sustainable Production and Animal Health Graduate Program was created in 2015 aiming to promote the active exploration, personal development, curiosity, use of senses and the intellectual effort in formulating questions and in the search for innovative solutions that can help to raise the productive and quality standard in the several products that made up the productive chain of agribusiness in Brazil, associated with human and animal life quality. Graduates of the program will be able to participate, develop and evaluate, with critical thinking, the research, teaching, outreach and management activities, in a multidisciplinary perspective about integrated management, prevention, control and diseases characterization, working in sanitary defense and animal and environmental biosafety. It started its activities at the Master’s level in August, 2015, aiming the training of professors, researchers and professionals specialized in attending research and the technological development in the field of Agricultural Sciences. The program is aimed at professionals in the field of Agricultural Sciences and related areas who have graduated from recognized national institutions or from foreign institutions considered equivalent.


Mission
PPS mission is to promote the perfect integration between sustainable productivity when using livestock, always with a focus on animal health. To train professionals capable of meeting the demands of local society, promoting the sustainable development of production and improving animal health and welfare in all species.


Vision
Consolidate the program as a reference in the training of Masters in Veterinary Medicine and start a program to train Doctors with a strong presence in the areas of Sustainable Production and Animal Health.
